Uses of Aloe Vera
Posted by Nathan on Feb 4, 2008 in Herbs For Health • No commentsAloe vera is probably the most well-known herb because of its variety of uses. In its natural form, this herb is a contact healer, meaning that the user can get instant relief upon contact. Because of this feature, aloe vera is particularly helpful in relieving pain and promoting healing on scrapes, cuts, minor abrasions, and even burns.
Also because of its healing properties, aloe vera is often used in many over the counter products for sunburn. Unfortunately, some products contain so little of this natural ingredient that it becomes ineffective in treating sunburns and minor skin problems.
You should also note that since aloe vera has the capability to penetrate all layers of your skin, it can become harmful when it is mixed with other products. For example, if the beauty product you are using contains alcohol and other chemical ingredient, there is a risk that these toxins will be able to penetrate the skin and cause health problem. So the best solution to this is to use aloe vera in its pure and natural form only.
