Causes and Cures of Snoring

Snoring can be very embarrassing when you spend nights with a bed partner. Our partner might get distracted in the sleep because of the snoring sound. Snoring can be caused by breathing problem during sleeping. The breathing problem happens when the muscle of the palate, uvula, and tonsils relax during sleep and will become noisy when breathing air moves across them. Meanwhile, snoring can also be caused by large bulkiness of tissue in the back of throat that narrows into the airways. The next question is whether the big noise is a serious problem or not. It should be realized that the snoring not only distract other people from sleeping but it also can disrupt the snorer because it is a sign of a serious health problem called sleep apnea. It is a condition in which the person stops breathing for several times during the night sleep. It can be a serious problem when it is not treated properly. However, most snoring symptoms are not as serious as sleep apnea. But it still need to be treated right away since it is annoying for other people.

There are many treatments to solve the snoring problem. The common treatments for snoring are related to the modification of sleep behavior. The theory is that the person can be trained not to snore. However, the techniques cannot be proven medically. It is strange when you browse in the internet that you will find many things called the healer of snoring. You might have heard about Sleep Wizard in which you place a mask around head and jaw. They claim to cure the snoring in 30 days. However, you should remember that there is no medical evidence supporting the claim.
